Windsurfing: The Dip-Felixstowe Wind Direction: NE Wind Stength: 15/20 Surf / Sea State: lumpy Air Temperature: 9 Sea Temperature: Weather: sunny periods but cold Max Speed: 25.62 (knots - unless stated otherwise) Distance Covered: 15 (Nautical Miles - unless stated otherwise)
Only just back in the UK after 2 months away and I have been windsurfing
two days running:) Went and had a look at about 10.30 but no one at The Dip
and the tide was fairly high so returned to chop some wood for our fire and
walk up the town with Mag. Home for dinner and check Facebook messages to
discover David Coles was heading down so with the van still loaded I headed
down to discover David and Ian Clarke rigging, David 9.7 on his formula
with lighter Ian going for 6.2 but it was very cold with only weak sunshine
today. I made myself rig as it was not that appealing and went for 7.8 on
the 282 which was OK. Maybe a little under when going broad and the sea was
messy which is a shame because this is a great direction. Out by the red
and white bouy it was particularly lumpy and too cold to really enjoy the
session with hat and gloves on today:( So an OK hour with the sun coming
out in the end, hopefully getting warmer next week.
